Ownership of the Best Western Hotel in Kirkwood, MO owned a large site adjacent to one of the main entrance locations to a Wal-Mart/Target/Lowes anchored power center. During the economic downturn in 2009 associates with Landmark Real Estate met with the hotel ownership and developed the concept to carve out a portion of the site for a Starbucks freestanding location.

Bohlmann and Company had enjoyed a 20+ year occupancy in a Class A office building, and had downsized 10 years previous to the 2011 lease expiration. While their business remained strong, through technology and other resources their floor plan was very inefficient, and they could decrease their space by 25% through relocation to new location.
